Flashback to summer

Nachdem  ich 20 Minuten in der Kälte draußen gelaufen bin wollte ich etwas über den Sommer posten. Und hier ist mein Rückblick für euch:

After I walked twenty minutes in the coldness outside I wanted to post something about summer. And here is my flashback for you:

Scissor Sisters -- Fire With Fire - MyVideo
Das Lied lief als Werbung für das Mobilfunk Unternehmen TMN in Portugal. Leider hab ich das Video zu dieser Werbung nirgendwo gefunden. Ich hab das Lied ständig gehört, egal ob im Kino, zu Hause vor dem Fernseher oder im Auto beim Radio hören. Es ist sehr anders als das einzige andere Lied von den Scissor Sisters "I don't feel like dancing". Ich höre immer noch até jà am Ende des Liedes. Das war der Werbeslogan von TMN und bedeutet soviel wie bis bald.

The song was played in the advertisement for the mobile phone company TMN in Portugal. Unfortunately I couldn't find the video of the commercial. I heard this song all the time. No matter if in the cinema, on the sofa in front of the tv or in the car listening to the radio. It is very different to the only other song I know of Scissor Sisters "I don't feel like dancing". I still hear até jà at the end of the song. It was the slogan of TMN and means something like see you soon.


California Gurls- Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dog

Ein gutes Sommerlied finde ich. Und ich mag diese Schreibweise (gurls) lieber als die offizielle (girls). Snoop Dog in seiner Rolle des Herrschers über das Süßigkeitenland ist einfach perfekt. Kennt ihr ihn in der Rolle des Huggy Bear in Starsky& Hutch? Richtig lustig. Müsst ihr euch mal angucken.

A good summer song I think. And I like the spelling "gurls" better than "girls". Snoop Dog is just perfect in his role as the ruler of candyland. Do you know hom as Huggy Bear in Starsky&Hutch? Really funny. You should watch it.

Das Lied habe ich das erste Mal in Stadivarius, einem Klamotten Laden in Lissabon gehört. Ich hatte grad richtig schöne Sachen anprobiert (den Laden gibt es hier leider nicht) und dann lief dieses Lied. Leider stand gerade keine Verkäuferin bereit, die ich hätte fragen können. Am nächsten Tag war ich wieder in diesem Geschäft (wir wohnten gegenüber des Einkaufszentrums :D) und mir fiel auf, dass immer die gleiche Playlist lief. Ich wartete also eine ganze Zeit in diesem Geschäft bis endlich das Lied lief. Leider war schon wieder keine Verkäuferin da. Ich hab mir schnell so viel wie ich vom Text verstanden hab in mein Handy gespeichert und bin zurück in der Ferienwohnung sofort auf Suche gegangen. Und wie man sieht bin ich fündig geworden ;D

I heard this song first in Stradivarius, a great clothing store in Lisbon. I had just tried on some gorgeous things (unfortunately we don't have this store here) and this song was played. But there was no shop assistant I could ask for the name. The next day I was in the store again (we lived right across the shopping center :D) and i recognized that they had always the same playlist. So I waited there some time and finally they played the song again. But there was again no shop assistant I could have asked so I wrote as much as I understood down in my cell phone and when I was home I started searching for the song and as you can see: I found it! ;D

Deutschland-Fingernägel. Es war WM und da habe ich meine Nägel doch gleich mal patriotisch lackiert. Ein Hingucker und zwar aufwendig, aber man hat ja sonst nix zu tun. 

Germany-Nails. It was world championship and so I polished my nails patriotic. An eye-catcher and much work but when you have nothing else to do...

Das war mein Wochenende bei einer Freundin, die praktischerweise direkt am Unterbacher See wohnt. Es war unglaublich warm und wir waren baden, in Düsseldorf und hatten allgemein viel Spaß.

This was my weekend by a friend who lives right next to the Unterbacher See. Lucky! It was unbelievable warm and we swam, were in Düsseldorf and had a lot of fun.

Strand, Wellen, Meer, Schwimmen. Und warm war es! Aber so was von. Es war unmöglich mehr als einen Bikini und ein luftiges Kleidchen zu tragen. Aber genau so mag ich es. Bei 30° C komm ich so langsam auf Betriebstemperatur :D In Ericeira war das übrigens.

Beach, waves, sea, swimming. And it is warm! Really, really warm. It was completely impossible to wear more than a bikini and a light dress. But this is exactly what I like. Around 30°C I start living ;D It was in Erieira by the way.

Lissabons Nächte (und Tage) sind sehr zu empfehlen! Besonders das ehemalige EXPO-Gelände ist phänomenal ;D

Lisbon's nights (and days) are great and you should experience them someday! Especially the former EXPO-area is fab ;D
